Beers with Dad team

Chris decided to go ahead and chase waterfalls as he got to spend some much-needed time in the outdoors. One of his favorite Portland breweries in Montavilla brew works was just rated the #1 underrated West Coast brewery by Vine Pair. Nick is excited about his brother Dave coming in for a few weeks but not so much about the arrival time of his plane since he is on tap to pick his brother up. John and his wife win a contest that makes the Zilker anniversary just that much more fun. Why are the majority of wheelbarrows still 1 wheeled?  We discuss interesting beverages we've had recently including a glorious stout from Wicked Weed, a nice easy-drinking golden ale from Circle, and a Hawaiian cocktail-esque sour from Martin House.
What did your favorite beer dads want to be when they grew up? Chris tells us the story of his and his wife's engagement and how the best-laid plans sometimes get interrupted by a hurricane. Then hits us with a dad joke. Next, he talks about the importance of working on relationships with the ones you love. Finally, we talk about barleywines as we discuss and taste our beer of the week in Bigfoot Barleywine from Sierra Nevada.

As always, thank you for listening.
